To the casual observer, there is nothing extraordinary about Kale, her husband, Bardon, their ward, Toopka and their traveling party. Not to mention the Followers.
Think again.
Kale is a Dragon Keeper, and also a wizard. Her ward, Toopka, has a strange, unforeseen future. The Followers are something else entirely. They claim to be something they are not, trick, swindle, and steal children, money and land. Suddenly, they are in all of the high offices, and high ranking officers are converting their religion.
What can a little wizard, a crippled husband, and a strange ward do?
