After seeing the hideous monster, the creator runs away in fear, leaving the monster to roam the land, killing his maker’s friends and family! The scholar pursues the monster, who persuades him to make another such like him, and then they will both go away forever. The scholar accepts the offer, but then changed his mind, and destoyed the half-finished monster.

For revenge, the monster kills the scholar’s long love, Elizabeth, on their wedding night. Angered, the scholar pursues him once more, but the creature is very elusive!
